The files of these dogs will in due time be connected to the LabradorNet Database. Right now it's only one huge file, 44.5 MB, and we're trying to find a provider to host the list. If we manage that, it will probably take a lot of time to download, but we'll try to make it work. In the mean time we split-up the list in 26 parts (the letters of the alphabet), and on a quiet Monday night I was able to download each and every one of them within one minute. . The List of American Retrievers may be used freely as a basis for your own Labrador database or statistics. The current list contains some Hip Scores and Elbow Scores; in the near future we plan to add all Hips and Elbow Scores, CERF information and other health details to the list. The ultimate goal is a truely open, international database of Labrador Retrievers, accessible to everyone. . LabradorNet is in favour of Open Database Systems, because the more we know about our dogs, the better we're able to breed carefully and wise. . |
